Director of Sales & Hospitality
A BS’c with honours graduate of Lincoln University, Neil has a great CV of positions held within the Golf sector. His career started out in retail with Direct Golf where he gained impressive knowledge of sales and customer service skills. Neil quickly moved on to secure a position in the tournaments department for the P.G.A (Professional Golfers Association) where he was responsible for the organisation and management of the Euro-Pro Tour, the leading feeder tour for professional golfers.
Neil always had a desire to work in the corporate sector and took the opportunity to move to the World famous and popular European Tour destination, The Marriott Forest of Arden. Responsible for sales and pre-event organisation for the corporate golf department, this role required great attention to detail and customer focus, in a multi-event environment.
Neil then turned his career path to join an events company in 2007, where he would develop into an account manager and Director of Golf, responsible for multiple accounts and an array of events. It was during this time Neil started to develop his network and knowledge of the corporate hospitality sector, which is where his passion alongside golf now lies.
It’s been commented that Neil spends more time on the golf course than he does in the office and has a terrible track record for “putting the kettle on”!
Director of Sales & Events
Scotney is an outstanding Sales and Events professional with over 30 years’ experience. He excels at developing and managing relationships, is an innovative and customer service driven individual, who will always act with integrity. He is inspiring, creative and someone who thinks on his feet. He will always think outside the box, questions the norm and likes to be challenged in return.
Scotney is a highly effective communicator and realist, is passionate in everything that he does. He has a great sense of humour and believes “if you are going to do a job, then don’t do it well….do it exceptionally well” as delivering a success event is all in the detail.
He is always willing to go above and beyond and thrives in being part of a dynamic team.
After graduating from Catering College in 1986 and then completed a gruelling 2 year on-site training programme at a 4 star hotel learning the ins and outs of hotel management, Scotney then embarked on a 17 year career at The Belfry Hotel commanding various management positions. Beginning with Nightclub Manager and progressing onto Conference and Banqueting Manager for the first 8 years, Scotney then eventually found his route into golf as the Golf Services Manager, facilitating the management of all 3 courses with regards to their Corporate days and the private membership.
Commanding a position of Golf Sales Manager for his final 5 years, he was instrumental in the selling of all 3 golf courses to the Corporate market and had the envious role of managing the USA Ryder Cup team and their support staff for the 2001 Ryder Cup. For the last 9 years, Scotney was a Director within an events company responsible for his own accounts, selling and delivering events all over the World.
Probably the best left handed 14 handicapper on his day!
Director of Golf & Trick Shot Show Artist
Rob has been a fully qualified PGA Golf Professional since 1996, his extensive experience within the golfing and hospitality profession has included employment in both the private and public sectors.
During such time he has worked & taught at Wycombe Heights Golf Centre, Northwood Park Golf Club, the 5*Marriott Hanbury Manor Golf & Country Club and until 2010 was Head teaching professional at the flagship Marriott Forest of Arden Golf & Country Club, in which time working on 5 different European Tour Events being held at these venues.
Having concentrated for several years on working towards gaining a European tour playing card, he then steered his career towards coaching and involvement with club activities, corporate event management, hotel hospitality and the promotion of the sport.
Over 7 years ago Rob drew from his professional career to develop what is widely recognised as the best “ trick shot show” on the planet whilst setting the benchmark for all to follow in the process, “The Trickyrob Trick shot show” has been performed for the worlds very elite, at venues such as Loch Lomond and Gleneagles, and has been featured on Sky TV and also in all the major golf magazines.
